Bournemouth Beach

This winning seven mile long beach is the perfect place to enjoy your day. Whether it’s stunning views of the Isle of Wight, a good old fashioned family picnic, going for long walks along the traditional seaside piers or enjoying all types of tasty food which are on offer, Bournemouth beach is the ideal beach all year round.
Bournemouth’s spectacular coastline is action packed all year round especially in the warmer months as it hosts fantastic events and festivals. The Bournemouth Air Festival is an annual event that takes place in August/early September. This is the biggest event of its kind in the world, and offers four spectacular days of flying displays, shopping as well as evening entertainment. October is another month of great entertainment as Bournemouth lights up with the Arts by the Sea Festival, offering 10 days of pure entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.
Sandbanks Beach
Awarded a Blue Flag Beach due to having the highest standard of cleanliness and for its naturally beautiful golden sand. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for 28 years and offers a specially designed area for barbeques and swimmers. Slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office.
Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, children's play area and Sandbanks Beach Cafe. If you rather get wet and fancy some thrilling water activities then Sandbanks Beach also has them, ranging from water sports to suit all ages and abilities and also includes activities such as a gentle paddle in a kayak in Poole Harbour to being pulled along at speed on water skis. For beginners, there are lessons and courses available.
Canford Cliffs Beach
Canford Cliffs consists of a natural and tranquil beach area perfect for all ages, it includes an area featuring volleyball nets and football posts. Situated between Shore Road and Branksome Chine the beach can be accessed from Cliff Drive, where you can find on-road parking. The steep, sandy cliff face provides a haven for wildlife. Canford Beach includes zones for swimmers and windsurfers with lifeguard patrols and 'Baywatch' towers to ensure a safe, fun, relaxing time. Wardens regularly patrol seafront areas throughout the year to ensure kids as well as adults are free from harm and danger.
Shore Road Beach
Shore Road Beach is an ideal place to visit due to its fine golden sands, gradual sloping beach and clean, safe water. Thought to be one of the best spots on the south coast, Shore Road is a narrow beach with a promenade on the Sandbanks peninsula. Mediterranean-style cafes, plentiful parking and great views across the harbour to the Purbeck hills and Brownsea Island. Water sports hire and tuition is available nearby and there is a dedicated launch zone for kite surfers and windsurfers.
Beach huts are available to hire at all locations - a perfect base when visiting Poole's award winning beaches. Available to hire on a weekly basis April - September and for longer lets of six months in the winter. Perfect for visitors and residents to enjoy all year round.
